Alumni

The HTW has produced over 14,000 graduates since its foundation (figures 2005) who have embarked on professional careers in Germany, Europe and beyond. Some have even established their own businesses. We would like to maintain contact with each and every one of our graduates. Our Alumni webpage should facilitate this contact and become an important access point.

Special offers for alumni

We have a number of offers available to our graduates. Returning to the HTW has its advantages. We organize courses of continuing education and programmes of study, lectures, workshops, language courses and sporting activities. Alumni can often participate at special conditions.

Contact and co-operation

Students at the HTW can take advantage of our wide range of activities and programmes to cultivate existing and opening fresh contacts. We maintain a number of associations and networks designed to promote collaboration and the exchange of information between graduates and other members of the HTW community as well as the business world at large. The Alumni database enables the HTW to maintain contact with its former students and provide regular information about current offers.

Advisory board

An advisory board was founded in September 2009 to strengthen the connections between business leaders and the academic staff in order to develop innovative study concepts and student projects for our students.

  • Hartmut Engler — Chairman of the board of managers, Otis OHG.
  • Sascha Hettrich — Chairman of the board of managers, King Sturge.
  • Andreas Kaden — Managing director, Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH, Berlin. Mr Kaden is also President of the Berlin Brandenburg Aerospace Alliance.
  • Helge Kochskämper — HR director, Tesa AG Hamburg.
  • Dirk Heiner Kranen — Head of division at the finance ministry.
  • Wolfgang Hummel — Head of the Investment Co-ordination Centre at the Berlin Senate.
